Native to the tropical rainforests of Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Australia, and the Solomon Islands, Eclectus parrots are prized for their brilliant colors, gentle temperament, and high level of intelligence. Male Eclectus parrots are primarily bright green while females are primarily bright red with a deep purplish-blue chest.
