This significant Islamic festival commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham's) unwavering devotion to Allah, demonstrated by his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) in obedience to God's command. In recognition of his faith, Allah provided a ram to sacrifice instead.
