Tag : Iceland's Geothermal Energy Conservation
Volcano Iceland erupts, roughly, every five years. From 2021 onwards, however, the frequency is closer to every 12 months! The area, widely known as Fagradalsfjall, about 35 kilometers from the capital Reykjavík, burst into life after the earthquakes that hit the Reykjavik peninsula. The three eruptions — some consider a single eruption month apart — mark the start of a new geological era on the southwestern peninsula, which has been dormant for the past 800 years.
