Humpback whales are large baleen whales known for their long pectoral fins, humps on their backs, and spectacular breaching displays. They migrate between cold feeding grounds and warm breeding grounds and are found in all major oceans. Although their population has recovered from past whaling, they still face threats such as entanglement and habitat destruction.

A “fight in the wild” involving a greater praying mantis usually highlights their predatory prowess. Praying mantises are ambush predators and use their camouflage to remain hidden before striking with lightning-fast reflexes. Their spiny front legs grip their prey tightly, making escape nearly impossible.
