Home Tab in Query Editor: Close, close & apply, apply options in home tab of query editor in Power BI: Lesson-7 P-13
Close: Discards the changes and exits the Query Editor without modifying the data. Close and Load: Exits the Query Editor and loads the data into the Power BI data model, applying all changes made in the Query Editor. Close and Apply: Exits the Query Editor, loads the data into the Power BI data model, and applies changes to the queries and visuals in the report canvas. Apply: Applies changes made in the Query Editor to existing queries but leaves the Query Editor open for further refinement before loading data into the data model.
Transform Tab in Query Editor: The "Information" options like Is Even, Is Odd and Sign in Power BI's Query Editor: Lesson-7 P-12
The "Is Even," "Is Odd," and "Sign" options within the "Information" menu of Power BI's Query Editor are valuable tools for gaining insights into the characteristics of your numerical data.
Transform Tab in Query Editor: The "Rounding" option in Power BI's Query Editor: Lesson-7 P-11
The "Rounding" option in Power BI's Query Editor allows users to round numerical values to a specified number of decimal places or to the nearest integer. This feature is particularly useful for cleaning and formatting data, ensuring consistency and accuracy in numerical representations within Power BI reports and visualizations.
Transform Tab in Query Editor: Trigonometry functions available in the query editor of Power Bl: Lesson-7 P-10
The trigonometry functions available in Power BI's query editor allow users to perform various trigonometric calculations on numeric data. These functions include sine, cosine, tangent, arcsine, arcsine, arctangent, hyperbolic sine, hyperbolic cosine, and hyperbolic tangent. By implementing these functions, users can analyze and manipulate data based on trigonometric principles, such as calculating angles, distances, or other geometric properties.
Transform Tab in Query Editor: Statistic option of query editor like absolute value, power, square root, log etc. in Power BI: Lesson-7 P-9
The data options available in Power BI's query editor provide various mathematical functions and operations for manipulating and analyzing data. These include: Absolute Value: Returns the absolute (positive) value of a number. Power: Raises a number to a specified power. Square Root: Calculates the square root of a number. Log: Calculates the logarithm of a number. Exponential: Calculates the exponential function.
Transform Tab in Query Editor: The "standard" options in Power BI's Query Editor', such as Add, Multiply, subtract...: Lesson-7 P-8.2
The "standard" options in the Transform ribbon of Power BI's query editor, such as Add, Subtract, Multiply, etc., are basic math operations for numeric columns in your dataset. They allow you to perform basic calculations directly in Power BI, facilitating data manipulation without the need for external tools or scripts.
