The "Choose Column" option in Home tab of query editor: Lesson-7 P-18

The "Choose Column" option isn't directly available on the Home tab of the Power BI Query Editor, but there is a way to access it that makes managing your data easier. Here's how to use it:

Go to the Query Editor: If you're not already in the Query Editor, you can access it by going to the "Transform Data" option on the Home tab in Power BI Desktop.

Find the "Select Columns" option: Within the Query Editor, find the "Manage Columns" group on the Home tab. There, you will find the "Select Column" button.

Using "Choose Columns":

Clicking "Choose Columns" opens a dialog box that lists all the columns in your table. Then you can:

Keep specific columns: Select the check boxes next to the columns you want to keep in your dataset.
Remove Unwanted Columns: Uncheck the boxes of any columns you don't need.
After making your selections, click "OK" to keep only the selected columns in your table.

Additional tips:

An alternative way to remove columns is to select them and right-click on any column header. A context menu will appear with a "Remove Column" option.
For more advanced management of your data, the "Transform" tab in the Query Editor offers additional options for shaping and transforming your data.
By using "Select Columns" you can efficiently select specific columns relevant to your analysis in Power BI.
